The work that does not get written up afterwards. Finding out how something was built by taking it apart, and how it failed by reading what it left behind.
Delivering

Ingenuity
We take the problems our customers could not solve anywhere else. The people who solve them are called SlyFoxians, and there are few enough of us that you will never be a number.

The work is genuinely hard.
That is the point.
Our customers bring us the things that did not work the first three times. Five competency areas, one standard: if it were easy, they would have done it in house.
Open any area to see the capabilities
Long lived systems for customers who cannot take an outage, built by people who will still be on the program in three years.
The part of the job that decides whether the next four years go well. Requirements that survive contact with reality, and a life cycle plan somebody will follow.
Models built against data that is messy, classified, and nothing like a benchmark set. The interesting problems are in the data, not the architecture.
Nobody writes a press release about the infrastructure. Everything else stops working without it.
Our credo
Seven things we hold each other to. They were written before we had any reason to put them on a website.
Just as the fox protects his family
- Do the right thing. Integrity and honesty, including when it costs us.
- Honor our commitments. To the customer, and to each other.
- Loyalty and support. Family oriented, and we mean it literally.
- Passion and excellence. Care about the craft, not just the deliverable.
- Ingenuity and resourcefulness. Find the way through.
- Enjoy the journey. Fun is on the list on purpose.
- Communicate with transparency. Say the real thing, early.
Everyone says competitive benefits.

In their words
Five SlyFoxians, in their own words. We have not trimmed the long one.
We have dynamic talent on our team. I appreciate the administrative support so that I can focus on my job. I am particularly impressed with the strong relationship that our leadership has with our customers.
I just started at SlyFox not too long ago but in the short time I have been here it has been a fantastic experience. Everyone has just been so welcoming and helpful with my transition. I really feel supported and appreciated at SlyFox.
I look forward to going into the office every day because of the engaging, impactful, and cool projects we are working on. It is very rewarding to do stuff that matters.
I worked at Dave's first company for over seven years, so I was very excited at the possibility to work with him again at SlyFox. The contract I was working on was ending in about a month and Dave found a great position for me and a coworker even before the company was really ready to go live. Four years later, my friend and I are still thriving in the position, and I have enjoyed watching SlyFox grow into a supportive organization with a very personal and social touch.
The leadership here presents a family-like atmosphere that strives to approach each employee's interaction with great attention, love and admiration. After welcoming my second child, it was extraordinary how supportive SlyFox was in helping improve my work life balance in an effort to help my family get situated. The generosity SlyFox has given to my family made us feel like a top priority of theirs. The SlyFox leadership team and company perks are unmatched.

We are named after a boat
David Walker was a teenager in Erie, Pennsylvania when he came across a thirty foot sailboat called SlyFox.
A sailboat is an argument about precision. Trim, balance, and a hundred small corrections nobody watching ever notices. That is where the name came from. The boat stood for performance and discovery, and the fox stood for character and purpose.
The fox was never a threat icon. Just as the fox protects and cares for his family, we have your back.

You send us a resume.
We match people to work based on what they are actually good at and actually want, which is hard to do from a job posting. So we skipped the job postings. Send a resume to The Den and a person reads it.
